FARFETCH SITUATION

Farfetched, a global online fashion marketplace, was quickly growing its headquarters in Santa Monica, and decided to move to The Bloc, a new 25,000 SQ FT. location in Downtown Los Angeles.

Farfetch would be receiving furniture from international waters into Los Angeles from their furniture vendor, Bespoke. Over 12 deliveries and $200,000 dollars worth of furniture was to be delivered and installed at Farfetch’s new headquarter location in Santa Monica. However, Farfetch struggled to find a vendor representative that would manage the logistics of the furniture warehousing and installation on site. It was more of a liability and warranty issue,” said Anthony, Farfetched Workplace Manager. With this size of delivery and install, the libaility and unknown variables of the project deterred relocation consultants – thankfully, we had CPM”

THE ACTION

For CPM, the liability issue was not a problem as it has handled some of the most intricate relocation furniture installation projects in the United States. CPM Project Manager, Jane Shin worked with the international vendor and Farfetched to provide clear communications, project budget, and timeline in order to complete the project in the most efficient way possible. Even when delays in factory production created challenges for Farfetched installation schedules, CPM spaced out the deliveries into an efficient manner and made sure Farfetch was up and running after the move.

Implementation

– The CPM team provided furniture installation in a timely manner for all furniture with 120 employees

– The CPM team received all furniture from Vietnam in 12 deliveries and stored in CPM warehouse

– The CPM team handled all logistics – receiving furniture from Vietnam and UK to delivery and installation at Farfetch’s new headquarters.
